Unlike other Out of Stock algorithms that rely on highly unreliable store audit, survey or "perpetual inventory" data, Data Ventures' solution is a predictive sales algorithm that relies on full POS sales data from Retailers. This algorithm was validated across 4 major US Grocery Retailers using independent auditors, and our predictive accuracy for determining specific item Out-of-Shelf conditions reached 92% after the fourth Retailer test.
