Robert B. Hannah, Managing Director
Bob Hannah’s professional career has been focused on Consumer and Shopper Behavior. Over 28 years, he progressed through Consumer, Brand and Customer Marketing positions for Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut and Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated.
During this time, Hannah had led the planning process with Shoppers, Consumers and Senior Management of
over 25 global Retailers and CPG companies, through qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
Hannah came to Data Ventures in 2005 after having held 11 years of executive positions at
Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, including Vice President of Category Management, Vice President of Retail Trade and Vice President of Revenue Management & Customer Planning.
Bob Hannah received a BA in Economics and Spanish from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, focusing on Marketing and Consumer Research. |

John Crooks, Senior Director, Operations
As Senior Director of Operations, John Crooks leads company wide product development and production, project management, quality control and assurance, and system support efforts. Prior to joining Data Ventures in 1997, Crooks’ career spanned eight years with Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. During this time, he held various positions in the Accounts Receivable, Tax and IT Departments.
Among these positions were Sales & Use Tax Accountant, Property Tax Accountant, Manager of Special Projects, Acquisition Team Leader, and IT Project Manager. Throughout these roles Crooks developed specialized skills in applying Information Technology on practical real world solutions. |

Gary
Black, Senior Director, Client Development
Gary Black brings to Data Ventures 20+ years of
experience in Consumer Products and software companies,
providing value through consumer and shopper behavior
analytics. In his industry spanning career, he was at
the genesis of efficient consumer response and sales
information initiatives for Kraft Foods, Director of
total U.S. Category Management activities for Nestle
USA, and a starting member of DemandTec, one of the
first software-as-a-service software companies in demand
optimization for Retailer and CP merchandising
activities.
Gary has combined his brand management and
sales/marketing strategy with his ability to leverage IT
solutions across retailers and CP manufacturers for
Domino Foods, Kraft Foods and Nestle USA. He joined Data
Ventures in January, 2011. |

Heather MacIntosh, Director of Global Analytics
As global director of analytics, Heather MacIntosh is responsible for the company’s analytics and new product development initiatives. Working closely with our clients, our scientists and developers at Data Ventures she brings solutions to our customers in the areas of shopper insights, pricing and promotion, supply chain and vendor collaboration.
Heather possesses 15+ years of industry experience, she joined Data Ventures in 1999 when Data Ventures was awarded the contract to manage the customer data warehouse for Delhaize America and was later promoted to global director of analytics.
She brought with her 7 years of experience in the CPG industry serving various roles within Acosta Sales and Marketing and Dreyer’s/Edy’s Ice Cream companies. Managing the Delhaize America relationship for the six years up to 2005 gave Heather a broad range of responsibilities as this key client represented a large portion of the company’s activities during this time and continues to be an important part of our business.
Globally, working with the Coca-Cola Company and the Coca-Cola Bottling Companies, Heather has provided shopper insights and analysis to retailers and suppliers in over 50 countries worldwide. Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University and earned her master of business administration in finance at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte |

Susan
Harrell, Director of Operations
Leads the production, business and development teams at
Data Ventures. She is a subject matter expert in both
retailer and manufacturer analysis and uses this
experience to lead her team and provide targeted
solutions to our clients.
Susan has more than 15 years of industry experience, 10
of those being with Data Ventures. Before joining Data
Ventures, she held various positions with Acosta Sales
and Marketing in the area of Category Development, as
well as Event Marketing through Advanced Marketing,
Inc. Susan received a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration from the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte. |
